Follows Long-time Coach Todd Hansen

PEWAUKEE, WI - Pewaukee High School (PHS) is proud to announce it has hired Jim Reuter, a PHS alum, as its next head girls basketball coach. Reuter, a social studies teacher at PHS, has been the freshman boys basketball coach since 2013 and served as varsity girls golf coach from 2014-2017. Previous to his work at PHS, Reuter served as the JV boys basketball coach at Oregon High School from 2010-13.

"We are pleased to name Jim Rueter as the new head girls basketball coach,” said incoming Athletics & Activities Director Jeff Behrens. “Jim brings a wealth of basketball knowledge and an excitement to move the program forward. He has been teaching and coaching at Pewaukee High School for the past five years, including building the girls golf program. Jim rose to the top of a very deep applicant pool through a process that included administration, coaches, parents and students."

“I am very honored to be given the opportunity to work with the other coaches and student athletes here at Pewaukee to help lead what I believe can be a very exciting and competitive basketball program,” said Reuter.

Pewaukee School District is a public 4K-12 district offering an award-winning, future-ready education to over 3,000 students. We passionately commit to our mission to open the door to each child's future.
