The Pewaukee High School Theater Department Presents: The Addams Family

February 11, 2019

PEWAUKEE, WI – This spring, the Pewaukee High School Drama Department is proud to present their production of Addams Family.

Come and learn what it means to be an Addams with the whole family; living, dead, and undecided. New romances will be made while old love is challenged all through song and the masterful storytelling of Uncle Fester. Pewaukee is delighted to perform this spooky story which will transport you to a different time and place and challenge the very idea of “normal” all while you listen, laugh, and enjoy iconic Addams’ Family characters.

The Addams Family tells the tale of a peculiar family living in Central Park, as they face the challenge of their daughter Wednesday Addams (Carter Chapman) growing up and falling in love. While the idea of the two families meeting seems simple enough in theory, in practice, the Addams with a strong affinity to the dark and macabre interacting with the Beinekes with a highly traditional mindset and a few secrets of their own, causes a most interesting clash. Wednesday and Lucas Beineke (Cole Hicks) learn about how far they must go to prove their love to each other. Alice Beineke (Kirsten Culter) will reveal more than she ever would to Mal Beineke (Anthony Desidero). Gomez Addams (Kendall TerHarr) will struggle to prove to Morticia Addams (Megan Loth) that he loves her despite his mistakes. These three love stories will intertwine and parallel each other as each couple navigates the world of romance. In the meantime, the other Addams will work together to help the new and old love exemplified by Uncle Fester (Jake Koch), aided by the ancestors of the Addams Family. However, not everyone is happy with the new arrangement shown by the action of Pugsley Addams (Demi Diringer) as he works to keep the families apart and his sister all to himself. This story is sure to surprise and enthrall as we learn that normal is hard to achieve.

Addams Family will run Thursday, February 14 at 7:00 p.m; Friday, February 15 at 7:00 p.m; and Saturday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m. This will be the ninth full-length production presented by the Pewaukee High School Drama Club in the Pewaukee High School auditorium.
