ACMS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Good morning Asa Clark Middle School!  Today is Friday, October 1st.  Please stand as we say the pledge of allegiance…

  • This weekend marked race #3 of the 2021 Mountain Biking season with some intense racing at the legendary trails of the 9 mile forest in Wausau against the best riders from across the state and beyond.  ACMS riders included Luke Serbian, Austin Moser, Axel Beck, Drew Maglio and Sean Williams. Be sure to congratulate them on some fine racing this weekend.

  • Today marks the beginning of Spirit Week!  Today is Pajama day.  Tomorrow is Hawaaiian/Under the Sea day.

  • Students - we are having a lot of issues with lockers getting jammed. To help alleviate this problem, please empty your backpacks at least half way before you hang them in your locker.  Thank you for your cooperation with this issue.

  • Beginning today all students will need to go outside after they are finished eating lunch.  There will no longer be the option of staying in the cafeteria when you are done eating.

  • This is a reminder that all students are expected to be wearing masks while riding the school bus.  This is a federal guideline that we need to adhere to.  Any student not wearing a mask on the busses will be asked to do so.

  • Picture retakes are this Friday!  If you missed the first picture day or need to get retakes, listen for the announcement on Friday morning to release you from class. Students getting retakes should bring their first set of photos with them to retakes.

  • An informational meeting for Asa Clark's ALLIES CLUB will be held this Thursday, during Pirate Resource. Please sign up with Mrs. Giese or Mrs. Whelan if you'd like to know what this club is all about! We get together to provide a safe space to share our ideas and explore how to make our school an accepting, welcoming space for all students and all voices. The ALLIES CLUB informational meeting will be held THIS THURSDAY, during Pirate Resource. Please  contact Mrs. Giese or Mrs. Whelan for more information."

  • Girls basketball will practice from 3:00-4:30.

  • Cross Country will get team pictures taken and have practice from 3:00-4:15.

  • Have you ever been interested in performing in a pep band and learning jazz music? If so, join the ACMS Jazz Ensemble. This extra curricular ensemble is open to any student who has played a band instrument for more than one year, or has taken lessons on guitar, piano, or bass guitar. Jazz Ensemble meets the first and third Tuesday of each month from 2:50-3:30 p.m. in the band room. The first meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 5th. Permission slips are available in the front office. Any questions should be directed to Ms. Stingle.

  • And finally, on the menu for lunch today. Chicken Tenders, Cheese and Aloha Pizza, and a Chicken and Cheese quesadilla.

Happy Birthday today to Kylie Rameker! Happy belated birthday to Mrs. Giese, who celebrated yesterday!

Have a great day and remember...It’s A Great Day To Be A Pirate!
