ACMS ANNOUNCEMENTS 

Good morning Asa Clark Middle School!  Today is Friday, December 10th Please stand as we say the pledge of allegiance…

• We would like to welcome our guest teachers today.  Mr. Seegert is in for Mrs. Wolf, Mr. Helland is in for Mr. Finn, and Mrs. Kommer is helping in 6th grade today.

• Any 7th grade students interested in taking a Capstone class next year should be sure to fill out the application that was sent to your e-mail. You must also pick up a Capstone recommendation form from Mrs. Duss in the front office. This form must be filled out by someone you are not related too.  Both items are due no later than 2:45 on Thursday,  December 22nd.

• Last night the Black 8th grade team played the only game of the night against a tough West Milwaukee team and it was a great one. Fighting back from being down 6 at halftime, the Pirates tied the game up with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter. The Mustangs then hit two big threes to stretch the lead, eventually beating the home team 47 - 42. Ben Toth led the scoring with 14, while Jack Westerman, Owen Wiedl and Andrew Van Domlen each chipped in 5 points for the Pirates. 

• As the weather gets colder, we need your help to support refugees in need by donating NEW winter hats, gloves, and mittens. All this month, Asa will be collecting winter items in partnership with the Hanan Refugee Relief Group to help warm our community and those in need. Please bring your items to the office and be entered into a raffle. 

• Congratulations to the following students who are this week’s Pop Open a Good book reading challenge winners. Winners should see Mrs. Turba in the library to claim their prizes.
