ACMS ANNOUNCEMENTS 

Good morning Asa Clark Middle School!  Today is Friday, February 11th. Please stand as we say the pledge of allegiance…

• We would like to welcome our guest teachers today.   Ms. Braatz is in for Mrs. Bocanegra.

• The 7th grade red volleyball team beat a good New Berlin Eisenhower last night in a great back and forth game. The team had strong performances by Ella Kuglitsch, Hannah Blend, and Ava Rehorst. The 7th grade black team also walked away with a hard fought win against New Berlin Eisenhower. Ali Miller, Laylia Pugh, and Aubrey Padilla stood out with great play. 

• Looking for something new and exciting to try this spring? How about Girl’s Lacrosse!  Lacrosse is one of the fastest-growing sports in the USA today and it’s easy to learn.  The Lacrosse Club is offering free practices for the month of February.  Never played before and not sure what it’s about? No problem!  Our coaches will help teach you the basics and no need to worry about equipment.  It’s fast, it’s fun, it’s girl’s lacrosse! Sign up for Mrs. Jussila's Pirate Resource Session next week Wednesday, February 16th to learn more. 

• 6th grade girls volleyball will practice from 2:45-4:30

• ACMS has added the Milwaukee Youth Sailing Team (MYST) to our diverse array of

student clubs. MYST is a collection of approximately 18 middle and high school

sailing teams from across lake country. An informational meeting will be held for interested students during Pirate Resource on Friday, February 18. If interested, please sign up for Mrs. Jussila's session. 

• Each quarter we celebrate students who demonstrate the qualities of our graduate profile.  These students have been nominated by one of the teachers or one of their peers.  Congratulations to each of these outstanding students.  Please stop down to the library and see Mrs. Turba for your certificate.  

• On the menu for lunch today…BBQ Chicken wings, cheese or veggie pizza, or a classic chicken sandwich.

Happy Birthday today to Kathleen Lang and Lucille May!  Happy birthday over the weekend to Nora Cieciwa, Grant Conrad, Cassandra Hooeyman, Caroline Thompson,Brady Staver, Nick Tempelis, and Brett Weindandt.
