Hello Horizon Community!

Thank you for visiting my Web Page! I am thrilled to be teaching at Horizon Elementary! I wanted to write a tad about my past teaching experience and a little about who I am. I look forward to working with you and your family to make 4th grade an wonderful experience! I can't wait to meet each and every one of you!

My first teaching position was within MPS at The Academy of Accelerated Learning, near 76th and Howard. I taught 4th grade for my first 5 years and one year in 3rd grade. I taught art classes at Kettle Moraine Summer Academy and a science camp for the Merton School District. I went to graduate school and received my masters in Educational Psychology. I completed my practicum at Aurora Psychiatric Hospital working with eating disorder patients.

Pewaukee Public Schools impressed me beyond any expectations. Being part of such a well respected district is an amazing experience. As I toured and interviewed with other surrounding districts Pewaukee was the only one that stood out to the point of me thinking, “This is where I would want to send my own child.” I am excited to be able to work in a district that sets high standards for staff and students.

I grew up in a small town, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, just east of the Mississippi River and lived in Milwaukee since my Marquette days as an undergrad. Currently I live in Delafield, with my three sons, Sam (6), Max (3), Henry (5 months) and husband, Neal.
