Pewaukee - A "Lake Country" Community
Serving more than 2,885 students on our campus in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, the Pewaukee Public Schools are proud of the high expectations we hold and the high achievement we have attained. Student test scores consistently reflect achievement well above state and national norms, and 92% of the graduates from Pewaukee High School attend a two- or four-year college.
Students in early childhood and four-year-old kindergarten through 3nd grade attend Pewaukee Lake Elementary School. Our newest school, Horizon Elementary School, opened in September of 2002 and is home to our 3rd through 5th grade students. Built in 1992, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students attend Asa Clark Middle School. Freshmen through seniors attend Pewaukee High School which boasts renovations and additions completed in December 2020. Horizon Elementary School had additions completed in August 2015.
Our schools are proud to have a dedicated team of administrators, teachers, support staff, and volunteers all focused on creating quality-learning experiences for our Pewaukee children and youth. Our Board of Education is equally committed to helping each and every student learn and reach his or her potential. Student achievement is at the heart of what we do.
Nestled on 85 acres near Pewaukee Lake, the Pewaukee Public Schools are located about fifteen miles west of Milwaukee. The Pewaukee community is growing and has a wide variety of affordable housing, new subdivisions, and lake property available. Supported by a strong base of business and industry, Pewaukee has a host of large and small companies and corporations. Our main street overlooking Pewaukee Lake is fast-becoming a spot to shop, dine, and relax while enjoying the beautiful water views. Being close to both Milwaukee and Madison, Pewaukee has close access to numerous two- and four- year colleges in the immediate area. Many people consider the Pewaukee community a prime community to live and raise a family.
