The mission of the Pewaukee Public School District's School Counseling Program is to maximize all students' abilities to develop strategies that support their academic achievement, self-awareness, interpersonal skills and career awareness.
The Pewaukee Public School District School Counseling Program is based on the National Standards for School Counseling Programs and the Wisconsin Comprehensive School Counseling Model, which integrates academic, career, and personal/social development. The school counseling program reflects the progression of student development from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. It is delivered through a direct service program consisting of the following components:

System SupportDPI licensed school counselors develop, implement, and assess all program components through collaboration with teachers, parents/guardians, administrators, students, & community members. Curriculum delivery is a collaborative effort of all school staff. The school counseling program helps ensure equal opportunity for all students to participate fully in the educational process. School Counseling goals for Pewaukee students are that they:
1) Apply educational experiences to be successful in relationships, in future careers, and as positive citizens within the community.
2) Develop and utilize self-knowledge, social skills and decision-making strategies to critically evaluate and successfully navigate life experiences.
