From the Student Handbook:

REPORTING ABSENCES and TARDIES
If a student is not in attendance for part or all of a school day, parents/guardians must report attendance by

• Calling the attendance line: (262) 695-5017
• Submitting the absence on Skyward
• Sending an email to phsattendance@pewaukeeschools.org
• Parent/guardian notes are not accepted, and will be verified via one of the methods above prior to the absence being marked as excused.

Only parents/guardians listed in Skyward are allowed to excuse their student from school. If it is not possible to call on the
morning of the absence, parents should contact the office in a timely manner. If such notification is not received in
seventy-two hours, the absence will be considered unexcused.

Families are encouraged to make medical appointments before or after school hours. When that is not possible, students attending appointments during school hours can obtain a medical note. Notes can be faxed to 262-695-5006.
