Information Technology (IT) continues to be active in supporting the District’s focus on improving student achievement. The 2015-16 Technology PDSA goal focuses on the design of a comprehensive K-12 Digital Citizenship curriculum. The work of the K-12 Technology Committee will be to identify standards and learning targets for students and connect these to authentic learning opportunities in other curricular areas. Additionally, the team will focus on designing and deploying PD for teachers on the habits of Digital Citizenship, so as to increase teacher capacity to instruct students. Scorecard goals focus on increasing student technology proficiency, increasing parental awareness on the use of social media as a communication tool, expanding professional learning opportunities via the EdTech coaches,  and increasing departmental operations and efficiencies.
